Pengaruh Kombinasi Woolwich Massage dan Aromaterapi Papermint Terhadap Pengeluaran Asi pada Ibu Post Partum di Upt Puskesmas Pujud Kabupaten Rokan Hilir Tahun 2024

Abstract

Background: There are many obstacles in the smooth output of breast milk which is a source of life for babies which is very important in a child's first life. The problem that post partum mothers often face is the lack of smooth expression of breast milk, so non-pharmacological efforts need to be taken, namely a combination of Woolwich Massage and Papermint Aromatherapy. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of the combination of Woolwich Massage and Papermint Aromatherapy on colostrum production in post partum mothers at the UPT Puskesmas Pujud, Rokan Hilir Regency. Research Method: The type of research is one group pretest-post test design. Total sampling technique. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed rank test statistic.

Research results: Before the Woolwich Massage and Papermint Aromatherapy were carried out, the majority of respondents had 0(0%) of their breast milk output smoothly, 5 mothers (30%), quite smoothly and 15 mothers (75%) less smoothly. After the Woolwich massage and rolling massage, the majority of respondents with smooth breast milk production were 20 mothers (100%). The Wilcoxon statistical test shows that the p value = 0.000 < a (0.05) so it can be concluded that there is an influence of Woolwich Massage and Papermint Aromatherapy on breast milk production in post partum mothers at the Pujud Health Center UPT
